Spaniels are one of our most ancient breed of dog and the Cocker takes it's place alongside the Springer, Sussex, Field and others as one of the most handsome in my opinion. The term 'Cocker' derives from their use as gundogs, specifically when hunting the Eurasian Woodcock and they have grown to become fantastic working dogs.
I wanted this 'black n white' to capture the key features of the breed, the slightly domed head, silky ears and (of course) the incredibly soulful eyes.
